Sydney band What it’s Worth have changed their name to Stand Atlantic, with upcoming single ‘Breakaway’ launching the band’s new sound. Stand Atlantic consists of Bonnie Fraser (vocals/guitar), Arthur Taak (lead guitar), David Potter (bass guitar) and Jordan Jansons (drums), who are inspired by the likes of All Time Low, Yellowcard and Mayday Parade.
As What it’s Worth, the band were lucky enough to tour Australia twice, as well as release the ‘Catalyst’ EP, with two music videos to support the release. The music video for 2nd single ‘Romeo’ premiered on Australian national television program ‘RAGE’ on ABC, as well as being featured online by American vlogger Bryan Stars.
Recorded at Broken Sound Studios (Forever Ends Here, Wake the Giants, The Sweet Apes), ‘Breakaway’ is a brief glimpse into Stand Atlantic’s fresh pop punk sound, which shows a growth from the band’s previous efforts. The band is expected to head back into the studio before the end of the year to commence work on their next release.
Stand Atlantic are playing their very first show under the new name on Thursday February 6th at Hot Damn in Sydney, supporting Sound of Seasons and Caulfield.
